Google Business Profile Support

You can reach Google Business Profile support through the official Google contact form, which lets you submit a ticket for issues like suspensions, verification problems, edits not being applied, or profile access. Response times vary, and follow-up emails from Google typically come from a no-reply address.

Owners can invite a manager from the profile's Users settings using the new manager's Google account email. Managers can edit profile information and respond to reviews but cannot remove users or transfer ownership.

Google Business Profile is designed for businesses that serve customers in person at a storefront or within a defined service area. Purely online businesses without in-person customer interaction generally do not qualify under Google's guidelines.

If you do not serve customers at your address, Google requires you to hide the address and operate as a service-area business. Displaying a non-customer-facing address can result in suspension.

Suspension & Verification

Suspensions typically result from suspected guideline violations, inconsistent business information, edits that trigger automated review, or activity that looks unusual to Google's systems. The exact cause is often not disclosed in the suspension notice.

Many suspended profiles can be reinstated when the underlying issue is properly identified, the profile is brought into compliance, and supporting documentation is submitted through the correct reinstatement process. Outcomes depend on Google's review.

Do not make additional edits, do not create a duplicate profile, and gather your business documentation. Review your profile for inconsistencies before submitting a reinstatement request, as repeated rejected appeals can make recovery harder.

Useful documents often include a business license, utility bill, lease or rental agreement, tax document, registration paperwork, and exterior or interior photos. Requirements vary by business type and country.

A soft suspension typically removes admin access or hides certain features while the profile remains visible. A hard suspension removes the profile from Google Search and Maps entirely. Both require reinstatement, but hard suspensions are more difficult to resolve.

Yes. Changes to business name, address, category, or service area - especially several at once - can place a profile under automated or manual review and sometimes lead to suspension. Edits should be made carefully and one at a time when possible.

Every case is different. Reinstatement timelines depend on the complexity of the suspension, how quickly Google reviews the appeal, and whether additional documentation is requested. Some profiles potentially could be reinstated within a few days. Others take several weeks. We cannot provide a guaranteed timeline because the final decision and review pace are controlled by Google.

A denied appeal does not always mean the case is closed. Depending on the case, options may include reviewing the appeal for errors, gathering additional documentation, or submitting a follow-up request through the appropriate channel. We review the denial and advise on the best next step based on what Google communicated. In some cases a clear path forward exists. In others the options are limited. We will always be upfront about where things stand.

Using a virtual office, shared workspace, or co-working address carries significant risk. Google's guidelines require that a business address be staffed and able to receive customers during stated hours. Addresses that are not regularly staffed or that are shared with many other businesses are frequently flagged. Listings using these addresses are at a higher risk of suspension. If you are operating from a virtual office, it is worth reviewing your setup against Google's guidelines before issues arise.

In some cases, yes. A sudden spike in reviews, reviews that are flagged as suspicious by Google's systems, or review patterns that look unusual can contribute to a profile being flagged for review. This does not mean legitimate reviews cause problems, but unusual review activity can be a factor in automated flags. Google's systems monitor for activity that appears inconsistent with normal business behavior.

A hard suspension typically results in your profile being completely removed from Google Search and Google Maps. Searching for your business name will not return your profile, and it will not appear in the local pack or Maps results. A soft suspension usually means your profile is still visible but you have lost the ability to manage it, or certain features are restricted. Logging into your Google Business Profile account and checking the status of your listing is the first step. If your profile is missing entirely from search results, it is likely a hard suspension.

The process generally follows these steps. First, we review your profile to understand the case and identify any visible compliance issues. Second, we gather relevant business documentation that may support your case. Third, we prepare and submit a reinstatement request through the appropriate Google channel. Fourth, we monitor the case and communicate with Google as needed. Fifth, we keep you updated throughout and advise on next steps if Google responds with questions or a denial. The specific steps can vary depending on the type of suspension and what Google requires for your particular case.

Reviews

We do not remove honest negative reviews. We help report reviews that appear to violate Google's review policies - such as spam, fake reviews, conflicts of interest, or prohibited content - and guide you through Google's reporting process. Final decisions are made by Google.

Reviews can disappear if Google's systems flag them as policy violations, if the reviewer's account is removed, or during routine review filtering. Sudden drops can also occur during platform updates.

In most cases, reviews return when a profile is reinstated. However, this is not guaranteed. Google controls review visibility, and in some cases reviews may not fully return after reinstatement. We cannot promise review recovery because that decision is made by Google independently of the reinstatement process itself. Reviews tied to accounts Google has removed for policy violations may not return regardless of reinstatement outcome.
